DGd 14 has tested positive. She has had one vaccine.
Yet DS, Dil and her brother can still go to work.
They just have to do a LFT each day.
But because she is positive we can't go for Christmas lunch
even though we have had 2 vaccines and the booster.
No wonder why people get confused about the rules.

It does seem mad when put like that

It's because you could catch it from her if you went there.

I'm sorry you can't be with them on Xmas day though, that is rubbish x

KleineDracheKokosnuss · 20/12/2021 18:30

Do you particularly care if you catch it and would you be happy to isolate after Xmas lunch for a week? If no and yes - in that Order - the only Potential ‚harm‘ going to lunch would have is to you. You are an adult and can make your own choices.

@KleineDracheKokosnuss as this time last year I was having treatment for breast cancer, I'll be following the rules in not going to their house on Christmas Day.
I was in isolation on Christmas Day last year so I didn't see anyone from Christmas Eve for 14 days.
So you can imagine my disappointment for this year.
