What happens if a child is admitted to hospital with covid. Is it currently one parent can stay? Does it change depending on if the parent is positive or negative for covid themselves!

One parent can stay, whichever parent has tested positive the longest, will probably be the one who can be with child.

One parent can stay with the child, and nope either of you can as long as you disclose that you are positive in addition to the child. They will be in a separate room anyway, and staff will be taking covid type precautions.

My Ds was admitted for something else whilst we were covid positive. Ambulance crew weren’t particularly bothered about covid, but at hospital they were a bit more strict. Whilst they let us in, we had to wear their medical grade masks and they took additional precautions when interacting with us.

In our case we had the absolute embarrassment of a keen receptionist who announced to everyone in the corridors to move to the side away from ‘covid risk’ as we passed through 🙈
