I had my booster yesterday. Had mixes vaccines, which I am fine with, having read up about boost to immunity etc.
No side effects aside e pectwd soreness but after 1 hours seep I have been awake for 5 hours with anxiety. Throat tight and wide awake.i do have GAD which I manage with medication but I have slept through nights for several months recently.
Anyone else experienced this?

So you think having the jab has triggered your anxiety or the jab is causing a problem that has triggered it? Fellow GAD sufferer here. Would it help to get up and do a few things like housework and/or exercise to get back in check with things?

I just felt a bit off the next day - as if I was coming down with a cold, but then didn't. Would that sort of 'offness' maybe trigger your anxiety?

Viruses are known to sometimes cause anxiety as they're causing inflammation of the immune system; I can well imagine that a vaccine could do similar.

There's a lot of research around links between inflammation and mental health so I think it's possible this is a side effect for you, or rather, your body is responding to the vaccine which may be increasing certain anxiety hormones etc.

Hopefully it will pass soon Thanks

Thank you for the response. I managed about 2 hours sleep in total. I did get up and have a quiet tidy up and tried reading downstairs.. I spent 30 ish mins looking up anxiety links #AnkylosaurusAches and I think thinks what you wrote rings true.

Yes, for me the initial vaccines and also the booster seem to have made my pre-existing anxiety much, much worse and have had to resort to anti-depressants to get it under control. The effect seems to have been within a few days of having each vaccine.

Hoping it passes / fades with a bit of time for you (and for me!)
