Been in contact with positive case when will I get a positive?

Hi. Was in car with my mum yesterday and she hugged me and my kids. She had a slight tickly cough but didn't really cough around us. She tested positive today and is now slightly breathless with it. My kids had covid 7 months ago. I didn't catch it. My husband recently had all symptoms of omicron especially the night sweats but he stupidly wouldn't test. If I came into contact with my mum yesterday when would I get a positive if I'm going to? I tested today but only 24 hrs and negative

I was with a positive case mon - thur (I don't know what day they then tested positive) and I tested negative on Saturday then positive on the Monday.

My family then tested positive the following Saturday (day 6 of our household isolation due to my positive) so for us it took 5/6 days.

I went for a curry with a friend the night before I tested positive we were sat opposite each other eating and chatting. Her DH then gave me a lift home. Neither of them caught it. My DH tested positive about 4 days after me. DD didn't get it.

I spent the weekend with DF, who kindly passed it on to DD who kindly passed it on to DH. Myself and DD2 didn't get it. DF tested positive LFT Monday, DD tested positive PCR Tuesday (possibly 4/5 days from contact) DH tested positive PCR on Friday so 4 days from DD testing positive.

DD was in a car with a friend on Thursday, positive LFT on Saturday morning, positive PCR this morning.

Friends parents both have covid, but friend's PCR was negative, can only have come from her though, other than that, DD hasn't been out or seen anyone.

All others in our house are negative on LFT's so far, we're all testing daily for 7 days.

ps, DD is fully vaxed, had booster and also already had covid.

I heard with omicron is 2-3 days and delta 3-5.
