Anyone had Covid where lost voice was the first/only symptom?

My DH been messaging with a friend this morning who lost his voice. He was asking if we had any spare LFTs, which we do and will drop off later.
I wasn't aware of a lost voice (and nothing else) being a symptom of COVID, Google is inconclusive.
But if if it is a common symptom, surely he should be going for a PCR, not using LFT (one of our last remaining which ideally we'd use before hosting family on Christmas Day).
So am interested in whether anyone has had COVID recently with a lost voice being one of the symptoms. Thanks

I recently lost my voice and it didn’t seem to be covid (various LFT’s and at one point a PCR).

Thanks @Sandyjag. I guess whatever caused these things pre- COVID are still around

Not had any responses from anyone who had a lost voice as a COVID symptom but DH has persuaded his mate to go for a PCR to be sure

I lose my voice one or twice a year and have done during covid - it wasn't covid. Cold from my kids which for me always affects my voice.

A colleague of mine had a hoarse voice and very mild cough, not persistent, LFT was negative, PCR was positive.

I lost my voice on the day I tested positive. Prior to that I just had a slightly runny nose and a scratchy throat on waking.

I lost my voice and had a very sore throat. If I hadn’t known I had covid I would have thought it was laryngitis.

Thank you - so far the lost voice is apparently the only symptom. No cold/temperature/sore throat/cough etc.

My BF had terrible sore throat and lost voice earlier this week, we were convinced she had Covid and I would get it too as we'd just been away together for two nights. She was also pinged when it came on from a night out in town so it seemed conclusive! Lat flows and PCRs all came back negative though.

Yeah I lost my voice on Wednesday when I tested positive, it was more or less the only symptom I had that day, but then it developed into a cough, bunged up nose, headaches, loss of taste & smell, and fatigue...🙈

Thanks - DH's friend has been persuaded to go for PCR
