Would this be safe? Worried I'm over reacting

I'm currently WFH but myself and another colleague have been called into the office for a meeting with our boss on Wednesday to discuss a project we're all working on.

My boss has Covid but will be on day 12/13 by then. She only had it quite mild (very young and fit) but I'm worried she might still be slightly contagious.

We're going to be in a tiny room with barely any ventilation for at least two hours.

I'm not vulnerable but my husband is.

Do you think it's safe? I do have health anxiety (particularly when it comes to my husband) which is why I don't trust my own judgment.

Thanks!

I wouldn't, surely it can be done virtually?

But on Tuesday you are going to be waiting for your PCR test as you have a cough???

Luckily on Thursday it will be negative

That was meant to be a grin!!

I would say fine. She would have done her isolation period. Life has to go on but if you are concerned maybe suggest doing it over video instead?

Gov guidance says to,work at home. Going into the office is not working from home.

Set up a zoom call and explain that your just following 'the rules'.

It's fucking ridiculous to ask you to go in face to face with a raging variety on the loose, and in the run up to a major holiday.

I knew that!!

What about being sanctioned if you don't attend a Job Centre appointment even though you have applied for 53 vacancies in the last 14 days and uploaded proof??

GoodnightGrandma · 19/12/2021 07:26

Have you asked if it can be done on Zoom as your DH is vulnerable ?

OnceuponaRainbow18 · 19/12/2021 07:28

5 kids in my tutor group all finishes isolation and came into school in day 11 for the last 3 days of term… just saying it’s funny how people give such different advice depending on who asks.

actiongirl1978 · 19/12/2021 07:29

For info, I'm on day 8 and my LFTs have gone negative again for the second day in a row. (you don't need to keep testing, Ive been doing it for self interest! It means I'm hugging DC again!)

She won't be shedding.

In fact there is talk of reducing isolation to 5 or 7 days plus negative LFTs. It's OK you'll be fine if you really have to go.

bloomingcovid · 19/12/2021 07:31

Thanks everyone. I could ask for a Zoom meeting but I'd get a lot of Hmm from the bosses. Even though they've agreed we can WFH if we want to, about half the staff have decided to go in as normal.

There are potential redundancies in the horizon too so I'm reluctant to cause trouble Sad
