Can't get any LFT

Can't seem to get hold of any lateral flow tests, been to 4 or 5 different pharmacies near me! You can't seem to order them online anymore either! I work for the NHS and have patient facing contact, at this rate I'll have to cancel all my clinics for the week to protect me and my patients. Is it the same where you live?

Actually my children have tried saying no but the teachers insist. They aren't taking them or asking for them!

I don’t know why NHS staff aren’t but there were loads at my work last week and everyone was encouraged to go and get two boxes each. So worth a try.

I'm NHS staff in a huge hospital trust - they send us grumpy reminder emails every week but don't actually have any stock for staff, we are supposed to order from the government website.

I’m sure your patients are more at risk by you cancelling a whole clinic surely?

I’m a teacher and we definitely have stocks in school and are regularly reminded to make sure everyone in our form takes them home. Kids do need to be doing them if possible (I understand some of our students with autism and sensory issues genuinely struggle) - we had to close to 4 year groups on Friday because so many staff are off with covid we can’t safely supervise, let alone teach, most of the kids.

None available in my local pharmacies. I had to try the gov website about 8 times before I could eventually order some. Not a great situation, I’m in London and it’s gone mad here.

I ordered lft off the gov website yesterday morning at about 7am and they arrived today.

We have six boxes as DS SEN secondary sends him.home with them.and DJ works in a school.

Ds wont be testing more than once a week over Christmas so it's a shame oops employer cant do the same

Dd brings them home from school as this past week students had to test every day. Pharmacies in my town had no stock, but today a mobile unit was giving out packs (2 per person) in the high street. Might be worth posting on your local Facebook to see if similar is happening where you are.

I do know people working in schools, but why would they be handed boxes of LFT when those of us working in NHS don't

There were boxes of the things left in our staff room on the last afternoon of term. I was one of the last to leave and brought a few extra home to pass on to friends and neighbours who I knew had had problems getting hold of them.
