Will she remain symptom free now?

Anyone had any experience of this?

We've all had/have covid. Dd was last to get it. 10 days after Dp who got it first tested positive.

All her tests up until Tuesday were negative. Both lft and pcr. But she had a positive lft Tuesday, confirmed by pcr.

She's been totally asymptomatic. A few days past positive result and no symptoms. Will it likely stay this way now? Or could she still develop symptoms?

She's been through so much with a few different things recently. Really hoping she doesn't get ill at Christmas even if we are isolating 😪

My dd also tested positive Tuesday and has had no symptoms yet so I am wondering the same. Apparently current govt guidance is if you are asymptomatic when you test positive, if you later develop symptoms you have to re-start your 10 days from then. I have now tested positive today too. Dh and other dd remain negative so far.

Hope you all stay well.

Thank you. I read about starting 10 days isolation again if symptoms appear here on mumsnet and from other sources too BUT I was never told this by test and trace, were you? So it doesn't seem very well known? The text/emails do not suggest this but I have been wondering about it too. I hope your little one remains symptoms free too and the rest of you don't catch it. My dd actually does have a cough but she she's had it for a few weeks after after another virus so not new!

I've just read you've tested positive. Hope symptoms are mild for you! They've been very very mild for 3 of us. Dd is the only one asymptomatic!

@AD80 Thanks - I am a bit apprehensive as I have severe asthma but I am not sure if my medication will protect me or my asthma and immune system will make it worse. I guess I will finally find out!

I thought I was very good at knowing all the latest guidance, but it was only on double checking and re-reading the whole lot that I picked up on the 10 days starting again.
