Would you go to a children's museum this week?

Me and any adult I'll see in the next 2 weeks are triple vaccinated but obviously my 5 year old isn't. I'm not bothered about it impacting Xmas plans as it's just our household.

But still it feels a daft thing to do, is it?

If in London definitely not. Can't speak for other areas of the country.

oftenbaffled · 18/12/2021 16:50

Hell yes

talkalarm · 18/12/2021 16:51

Not London, up north (Eureka)

Went to two museums today. Empty! Bliss!

Personally I'd be hesitant. You can carry the virus to others even when fully vaccinated. Very personal choice though and it is permitted of course

Twizbe · 18/12/2021 16:52

Yeah I would.

Like you it's just us on Xmas day so no issue if we have to isolate etc. we're going to a performance of The Snowman on Monday and a panto on Wednesday.

Twizbe · 18/12/2021 16:52

Oh and I'm in London

SummerBluez · 18/12/2021 16:52

Yes. I'd go anywhere to be honest, London or not. We've just come back from a Santa Sleepover at a theme park and have another theme park, meal and panto booked too. Covid hasn't put me off doing anything and never will.

We’re going to Eureka this week. Also soft play. Mine have been going to nursery / school so I view it as no different really.

Eastie77Returns · 18/12/2021 16:56

Took mine to see Father Christmas at a museum today in London (local, not central London). Why wouldn’t you? It wasn’t particularly busy, everyone in masks.

I’m baffled as to why someone who is triple vaccinated is worried.

talkalarm · 18/12/2021 16:57

I'm not worried about infecting others particularly, I'll wear a mask and distance from others. I LFT every few days for work anyway.

We went several months ago but I just feel I understand less about how omicron transmits

Yes I would - I’m in London and just on train home with DP and DD from a Christmas concert at the Barbican. It was amazing - felt so festive and really quite moving to hear live music again.

Again - small family here so no big extended family meet ups and the run up to Christmas is always our highlight, rather than the day itself.
