Is my April wedding going to happen?

Urgh, this is our second date after postponing from last April.

So, interested to hear what you think - will out wedding go ahead with no/minimal restrictions i.e. no curfew, 100 or so guests, dancing allowed etc? (In Scotland, by the way).

I genuinely think not, but everyone else tells me I am being ridiculous and it absolutely will.

FWIW I would have been happy doing it at the registry office but DP wanted the big wedding and now I've got a big fabulous dress for the big fabulous wedding and I will be sad if I don't get the use of it 😂

Ours is also in April and in Scotland so I’m really keen to see responses to this!! At the moment I’m inclined to think yes and that even if things shut down in the new year they will be opening up again by March/April

This will be our third rescheduled wedding!

I think my current thoughts are lockdown early January and then a very slooooow unlifting as per this year (tiers etc) so probably can have a wedding but restricted numbers, no dancing and early finish

Probably - looks like there will be some restrictions through till spring.

If you wanted to be sure, could you move it back to May or June??

Unfortunately not an option, DP is in the Navy and that 2 week period in April is the only time we can guarantee he will be home next year!

Could you have a small romantic wedding if need be + honeymoon and a big party later in the summer?

I think there's a good chance - I've heard some say that omicron will spike big and bad, but will also subside rapidly

Just wear the dress and go with whatever the restrictions allow
