Are you all still doing indoor festive activities? We have tickets to do lights and an indoor walk through.

It depends on how much getting covid would interfere with your Christmas plans and how vulnerable you/your family are.

Absolutely. I'm not denying DS all the stuff he didn't get to do last year.

Yes. Going to an indoor Christmas concert today, and another one tomorrow. Outdoor Christmas train next week. DGPs taking DD to the theatre on Wednesday - providing not cancelled by then.

It’s an individual balance of risks though. We have a small family, just the one child, we’re all boosted and older relatives are aware of and at peace with the risks. And the run up to Christmas is much more important than the ‘big day’ for us.

We had just planned to see Santa. But we are not going as in London and rates are high.

Priority is to see Grandparents and DCs agree they would prefer to do that then see the man himself.

Ds has only had one vaccine - like most 12-15 year olds. That means he is more vulnerable than Dh and I (two vaccines and boosted) to picking up Covid. It’s not that I think he would get ill, but if we get a positive test in the house that’s Christmas screwed, we are expecting his adult brothers to come home.
Sorry long winded way of saying we are not going to indoor activities, and staying away from town this week. It’s a shame but after Christmas I will be a bit more relaxed.
