Vaccination booked - cold symptoms

16 year DS has his 2nd vaccination booked for tomorrow. However he's got cold symptoms (mainly runny nose, no temp or cough) - he did a lateral flow test yesterday and today, both negative. Can he go ahead with the vaccination?

I wouldn't. He surely needs a PCR. I expect they would turn him away at the door anyway with symptoms so probably beat not to go and be in close proximity to those who may be vulnerable. A jab can be pre-booked.

I know someone who was advised not to purely because if the cold gets worse you don't want that on top of jab side effects

I wouldn't have thought it's wise. My 3rd vaccine I had awful side effects with, abs wouldn't have wanted a cold on top of that, my body had plenty it was fighting without a cold.

Thanks very much. I phoned the vaccination centre and they said providing my son didn't have a temperature, he was fine to go ahead with his vaccination. However we decided to postpone it.
