I travelled back to England today

Just thought I'd share if people are travelling soon.

Leaving the other European country, it was a bit of a faff having the pre-departure LFT paperwork plus Covid pass plus passenger locator form to scan. I definitely recommend getting everything printed out, such pain worrying about my phone.

However back in the UK (England) they'd merged all the digital records so we just had to show passports.

Took my return PCR at the airport and hopefully get a result soon.

Update: got my neg test this morning just before 11. So that was about 18 hours.

Agree with you re printing everything off, so much easier and quicker.

Such a faff. And the private tests are so expensive. And the Mental load of it all, making sure you've got a back up plan and enough I insurance. I wouldn't travel internationally now unless it were absolutely necessary. I was on a pre-booked sun and sea getaway with my partner which we planned in November. We still enjoyed, so there's that.

It is a faff, last time I travelled I had a folder full of paperwork and just handed it over and was done and dusted really quickly, the ones with everything on their phones were faffing about, losing connection, couldn't find the relevant information.

You're right about the added mental load, I was checking and re-checking to make sure I'd got and done absolutely everything.

I did laugh at the couple in the queue next to me who hadn't done a Passenger Locator Form and when asked for it said "We don't need to do one, we're British, we live in England". They were told in no uncertain terms they would not be boarding without one.

My PCR test was quite cheap but that was when the Government were removing the necessity of a PCR test, I bet they are not so cheap now.
