Vaccination appointment with baby

Booster appointment later today. Haven't arranged any childcare for baby and now wondering if that's a mistake and I need to sort something out. Anyone been turned away from a vaccination centre for having their baby with them?

There was a woman with a baby in the queue when I had mine. I’m sure it will be fine.

No, we took our 20 month old with us and they played around asking if he wanted his temp checked upon entry! Wasn’t a problem at all.

I had my booster yesterday and took my baby along in his pram. The nurses doing the vaccines all popped over to see him and say hello (it was a small vaccine clinic in a rural area, so no huge queues).

I'm sure it'll be fine. Not everyone can get childcare.

Great thanks all

It's definitely fine. I took my 4 yr olds with me

I work in a vaccine centre, honestly it will be fine. Hopefully they’ll push you to the front of the queue if you’ve got a wee one with you.

Nope, I took my baby to both my main appointments and had a lovely reception. Just check for step free access if you’re taking the pram, I’m not sure how they’d feel about jabbing you while you were baby wearing!

Yeah, ideally not in case you faint! Baby in pram is fine. We love babies, we fight over who gets the people with babies (and dogs!).

I took 4mo in a sling and he stayed there fast asleep while they jabbed me - and I was whisked to the front of the queue Smile

TheWayTheLightFalls · 17/12/2021 13:45

The centre near me fast-tracks anyone with a pram Smile.

I didn’t think twice about taking my three month old a few days ago- I told him we would choose a new Christmas decoration after if he was good 😂

I mean, I had no one to leave him with anyway.

Did not get to skip the queue though.

WhatHaveIFound · 17/12/2021 13:53

When I took my DS for his second jab, the kid before him has his mum and two siblings with him!

I'm sure you'll be ok with a baby with you.

I took my 2yo with me. All the staff came over to say hi to her and she showed them all her sticker book Grin

I took my three year old with me and it was fine.
