Pregnant women added to 'Priority Group' 6 now groups are practically meaningless.

This is all well and good, but there aren't really any priority groups now, are there? DH is also group 6 andwe checked and the soonest he can get his is 7th of January (I told him to book over a month ago when he was eligible), he isn't bothered which is fine. But for pregnant women reading the terrifying statistics in this article, telling them they are priority now with no meaningful attempt to give them priority access to vaccines is completely pointless.

Yeah it’s a bit odd considering anybody can now get a vaccine. Unless they actually hold priority spots for people?

I’m 37 weeks and double jabbed but have to wait until after my baby is born to have my booster because I’ve just had covid and have to wait 28 days Sad

If you've had covid recently you'll have protection from your antibodies and hopefully so will baby, I'm guessing you weren't too ill with it?

I feel fairly safe from Delta but am concerned about Omicron which from what I’ve read is an issue unless you have had three jabs when the immunity boosts up.

Hey Ho, I just wondered if it was rooted in anything a bit more meaningful than “we might muddle the symptoms up”

But no I wasn’t too poorly at all, luckily. I’m fairly certain I had delta and thank the vaccine for that!

Yeah really fucking annoyed about it tbh! It feels scary being pregnant because of how overlooked the risks seem to be.

Yep all too late now they’ve opened all slots to over 18s (who are far less at risk). I appreciate the drive the get as many boosted as possible but not when it stops more at risk getting appointments.
