5 year old tested positive, been normal self. It’s kicked in this afternoon high temperature, very irritable, muscles aching, head ache. No underlying health conditions. How was it for your 5 year old?

A shit 10 days. Lethargic, led in bed all day everyday, wouldn’t eat, when she did she vomited it back up, heavy cold symptoms so runny nose etc and temp never was below 38 in 10 days, day 7 her temp went up to 40.3 and we couldn’t get it down. She complained of tummy pain and eye pain and generally just looked very pale and very poorly.
Suddenly by day 9/10 she got out of bed, stating playing with toys again/colouring in and asking for food again. I’ve never seen her be and look so ill, really hope she doesn’t catch it again.

Btw she tested neg on lft and pcr throughout, but the rest of us-four- all had it at the same time so Gp said it would’ve been covid without a doubt, the viral load in my house would’ve been quite high. Lord knows why it didn’t show on the tests, unless we failed to shove it far enough up her nose etc

And cough, forgot to add that

School said she had complained of earache but had been super happy, eaten well and no temp. They then mentioned that the people she’d been sitting with had now all tested positive so I did an LFT when we got home which was instantly positive even though she did the test herself. Slightly pale on day 2/3 but no obvious symptoms and nothing that would have made me test her.
