Booster for immunosuppressed (4th vaccine)

I am due my booster next week. It's been 3 months since my third vaccine. My GP are saying they can't book me in. Has anyone managed to get an appointment. I had a real battle getting the third primary and it seems the same for the booster.

Theoretically I should have had third jab but was just called up for the booster. I don't think the message for this has got through. I only knew about it last night when listening to the press conference

My relative in same position got an email from their GP surgery and getting theirs on Monday there. Are they saying why? Surely if you are eligible they should be doing it for you.
The drop in clinics here are crazy busy and there’s no way she could queue for any length of time.

It's actually due Christmas Day. I asked about having it the week after but she said it wouldn't allow her to book. I think my third has gone down as a booster so that's the issue.

All third doses have gone down as boosters because that's all the system will allow. It's another thing that's not been thought through. There is also currently no way of recording a 4th dose on the system. Has anyone heard of anyone being able to book? We have a family member who needs one too.

I argued that the third jab was a booster but my relative said no, it's a third jab and they've been called for a booster, that's how it was worded. So their GP has differentiated between them.

No there is a difference but they can't be recorded as such (currently). The only practical difference is that for Moderna the 3rd primary dose is a full dose & the booster is half. For Pfizer they are all the same dose.

If you have a walk in clinic nearby - take proof of your eligibility to have had your third primary dose along with you at the three month point. It seems to be the easiest way to get the booster.

It is a massive failure in the system that people can't book them though.
