I know isolation is 10 days but how soon after did you mix with family?

How soon after someone isolating would you feel safe and comfortable to see someone if they had covid?

We don't know for sure how long you are contagious! It could be less or more than 10 days?

Ds was under the weather for just 1 day. I can't imagine he'd still be contagious for 9 more days being perfectly well 🤷‍♀️

But someone could have it and be poorly for the whole 10 days or more so much more likely to be contagious?

We all have covid. Dp finishes isolating today, Ds Sunday, me Monday and Dd Christmas Eve.

I don't feel right in rushing to see family on Christmas Day! The next day after Dd finishing isolating although at the minute she is asymptomatic.

Trying to determine when to see family between Christmas and new year!! around work and what not, need to set a day to travel!

Advice?

I know my in laws would be fine to see us whenever after isolation but my family are more likely to want to wait.

Well I went straight back to work so I was mixing with people straight away. Can't remember when I saw family, wasn't long after.

Absolutely. We will be the same with work but was wondering more with family. My family are quite anxious about it all but Dp's family don't really give a damn about covid! 🙄 they'd probably allow us over when all positive - not that we'd do that obviously!

I was wondering this today.

Aunt & Uncle & Cousins all finish isolating on Christmas Eve and are supposed to be hosting my elderly grandparents Christmas Day. I’m worrying (hopefully unnecessarily) about it.

Im in the same position OP.

My DMs partner tested positive on Tuesday. She's isolated with him and hasn't seen us as we had DS 6 weeks prem also on Tuesday. She's tested daily on lat flow, 2x neg PCR yet I'm still not sure how comfortable I am having her round when isolation is over..
