Have you got Omicron?

If so - how are you feeling? Given that it’s doubling every two days, a lot more of us will have it by Christmas - hopefully mildly for most of us.

I think I have it, I had a scratchy throat yesterday and today it is sore. No other symptoms at the moment but because a scratchy throat was mentioned as a big symptom of omicron I did an LFT today which is positive. I’m awaiting my PCR but fairly certain I have it. I also had Covid previously in 2020. I am not worried for myself but most worried about the people I have been around Sunday and Monday Sad they are all triple jabbed but it only does so much.

Just wanted to add that I believe cases are far higher than is currently thought, especially if most people just have a slightly rough throat to start with. I have none of the classic Covid symptoms at the moment.

I think I may have it. Was at a gig last Wednesday evening. No symptoms and negative lateral flow tests until Sunday evening. Started with a runny nose and a bit of a sore throat so done another lateral flow test which came back positive. PCR confirmed positive on Monday. Feels like a cold for me, I'm quite congested.

My son has covid and, I suspect, Omicron. He's double vaccinated and was wearing a mask in lessons but it spread like wildfire at school in the last week or so. He had no symptoms at all, only found out through his daily LFTs.

My husband and I both have it. He’s worse than me with, scratchy throat, cough, horrendous sweats and feeling exhausted. I have a cough, muscle aches and tiredness. Both confirmed by T & T as Omicron, have 4 days left of isolation. Both of us double jabbed and had booster booked in but caught it just 2 days before boosters 😒
Since we tested positive, 3 people my husband was in office with have all tested positive too.

How do you know if it’s omicron? Do you get notified? My husband tested positive last week and I’ve had a positive LF today - expecting the PCR result tomorrow.

I asked this when Test and Trace called and the handler didn't seem to know the answer. He said something along the lines of you might or might not receive some PCR tests in the post which you're not obliged to do but may identify whether my son has the Omicron variant. The lack of clarity is odd given it triggers a different set of restrictions for close contacts.

I have covid and suspect it’s Omicron.

Day 4 now. Very sore very dry throat, temperature, aches and night sweats. I’m keeping on top of it with paracetamol but oh boy can I feel when the paracetamol starts to wear off.

I think I have it. I have a positive LFT and am waiting for my PCR results.

Headache, fever / chills to begin with and then sore throat. Throat unbelievably painful. I managed to speak to a Dr because it has been so excruciatingly sore that I started to wonder if I had covid plus something else. He told me sore throat was probably the most common symptom of omicrom. It has been awful and stopped me eating / drinking / sleeping. Inbuprofen plus paracetamol not touching it. I have managed to get a subscription for Napraxen and taking it with paracetamol plus Codeine. Praying it helps.

A lot of people in my office have come down with covid in the last week and apparently all have this horrendous sore throat too.

I've got covid and I feel absolutely fine. I only tested as my friend had a positive PCR. I've done a lateral flow but haven't bothered with a PCR

I think I may have it - I have 4/5 of the symptoms so dry, scratchy throat, muscle pains (although these seem to have subsided), fatigue and also a mild temp. I don't have night sweats as of yet, my 6 month old is also quite unwell :(

It sounds so varied. I was hoping we were moving towards the virus being milder now so many of us have been exposed to it. I wonder how long that will take.

I had a text confirming I had Omicron. I had cold symptoms and sore throat for a few days and, when that eased, tiredness for a day or two.

Kids had virtually no symptoms and husband had same as me but also had night sweats and chills.
