That is sad. When I took a flight this year there was an elderly couple at the airport who didn't have any means of proving their vaccine status, no smart phone or email. They were stumped. It took me ages to work out all the things, I'm not the quickest to understand new things but I also had help and I worked it out. It made me think about how those who don't have access to tech or otherwise couldn't work out all the new hoops could inadvertently be prejudiced against.
I saw another long haul flight close its boarding when half the passengers were still in the check in queue because staff couldn't get through them quickly enough. The flight just left them. So many were crying or were overwhelmed.
I've never been so anxious when travelling before. I was in my own and just couldn't relax until its got through to the departure lounge as it felt like at any minute someone could find something wasn't quite right and I'd miss my flight.
I had to make that trip and I was prepared to be stuck in a hotel upon landing if authorised too. I presume these poor folks feel they also had to make that trip. It's sad, but any flight now comes with this possibility.
