Home PCR test results waiting times

Any recent experiences of time scales between sending a home PCR test and getting the result back?

Did home tests on dc last week. Results were back within 24 hours ish of posting. One took a little longer at the 27 hour mark. But I was impressed as I thought it would be longer. We are in the southwest!

Posted mine yesterday and have had no acknowledgment it’s even been received, 28 hours later. So fully expecting it has gone missing like more than half our PCRs to date

I sent mine on Saturday. Checked the tracking on Royal Mail and apparently they were picked up and delivered Saturday evening.

It’s now Tuesday evening and I have not heard anything. Annoyingly I can’t find the thing with the reference number of the test so can’t even call to chase. I think if I don’t hear tomorrow I will try again. It’s DC’s birthday this weekend and we have plans to see some friends (nothing huge) so I kind of need to know if I have covid!!!

Ooh I haven’t had acknowledgment that it’s been received! Is that a thing? I just saw on the tracking that it was delivered and signed for!

I never get a notification to say it had been delivered. I just tracked it and said it had been.

Just spoke to 119 because still no results. They said you “don’t necessarily” get a message that it’s been collected / is being processed but they couldn’t track mine as I didn’t keep the barcode, just the code that came in the email (I was delirious) so advised me I’m unlikely now to get results.

I posted mine on Saturday so we now at 4 days since they received the test!

I think I will do another PCR since I also can’t find the bar code. I think DH recycled the booklet with it on! Sad

My family member sent theirs on Monday am, have since registered it yesterday (I forgot until then) Blush not heard anything yet though

48 hrs from into post box (just before a morning collection) to results ....almost to the minute

How do you receive the result ? In the post ??

Son has had text to say delivered today at 12.30 ,but nothing received .
Delivery in our area is exceptionally bad and now loads of staff off sick .

Yesterday I had to redeliver post to correct door number.

I'm tired and my crazy family had me believing it arrived by post .aaargh
