Am I supposed to be isolating?

Apologies for this. I think I'm being very dense.
On 7th December I came into contact with someone at work who subsequently tested positive. HR contacted me on Friday and asked me to take a PCR as a close contact but no need to isolate if double vaccinated. PCR reported negative on Saturday 11th.
Monday morning I get a call from work to say the positive person has omicron variant so I need to isolate for 10 days from 7th.
Today the rules changed so that if you're a close contact but vaccinated you can LFT everyday for seven days but no need to isolate.
No one seems to be sure if that means I fall under the old rule or the new one.
I tend to be cautious anyway but my booster is booked for tomorrow afternoon, is it ok to go (under the new rules) or should I stay home until Friday?
I hope that makes some semblance of sense!

I would take it as you can do daily LFT (if you can get them) but make sure your register your negative results. Your work may not want you back in yet.

The government recommends all close contacts avoid social situations.

This happened at our school. A class got told to isolate until Friday 17th but when the new rules came in today they let them back in.

Out of interest, do you know how long it took for them to test positive?
