Omicron or delta? How were you told if omicron?

Just wondering if anyone who has recently tested positive and was told it was omicron, how were you told?

DS tested positive on LFT and PCR last week, rest of us were contacted by test and trace and told we don’t need to isolate but to get PCRs. Then this weekend I’ve had another text message from NHS Result (not test and trace) saying to make sure the person who tested positive and the people they live with ‘continue to isolate for 10 days’.

Does this mean it’s omicron or would we get a less generic message if so? When I log into test and trace it says I don’t need to isolate.

I’ve just had the same scenario play out…did you ever find out?

Just checked my messages from a few weeks ago, pre omicron discovery and it says the same

Not Omicron.

My son tested positive last week and just checked and we have the same message. I was told it wasn’t Omicron by test and trace person as they had a different team for that and we would have been told to self isolate even if we were normally exempt.

I’ve had that message too Pre omnicrom.
