What was your very first symptom?

I tested on LFT this morning, the nasal only one. It didn't show a line within the first 2 hours but now has a light line . I will take another LFT this evening and book in for a PCR tomorrow morning.

I've had a scratchy throat since last night, so much so that I had to take a Strepsil to be able to sleep. I am feeling completely well otherwise but my throat hurts in a strange away that I can't describe.

If you had a sore throat did it feel different to other sore throats? What was your first symptom if you had covid very recently or have it now?

Why were you looking at the LFT after two hours? You’re meant to discard them after the stated time because the results won’t be accurate and it’s just as likely you saw an evaporation line or the dye seeping though due for the amount of time it was saturated.

Any way, I’m a big supporter of if in doubt get a PCR and a sore throat has been reported quite a lot so I’m glad you’ve decided to get checked thoroughly. Be aware though, that if it is covid it’s possible to test too early so still be alert to any further symptoms and carry on with the LFT’s.

I had a positive PCR on Thursday, just had a text today to say it’s Omicron variant. My first symptom was feeling tired and like I was getting a cold, sore throat and muscle aches followed quickly. I now have a productive cough.

I know @Cornettoninja, that's right. We have tended to keep our LFTs for the day before we discard it in the recycle bin, I've never had a hint of an Evap line but of course it could very much be one.

My first symptom was stinging/ prickling eyes.

Itchy/sore throat, tired, slight headache were first symptoms.

Then very slight, dry tickly cough

Then sneezing, runny nose, woolly head

Tired, but not at all bedridden, throughout!

Would not have tested as it seemed like a very liked cold, apart from the fact I knew I had been a close contact.

*mild cold, not liked cold!

Headache for one night. Then very stingy eyes. Now (day 8) just a bit blocked up

Really bad sinus headache for 2 days and very tired, negative LFT both days. Then started sneezing constantly and tested positive on day 3.

I've just came out of isolation today after having covid, all of us in our house caught it off DD. The first sign I had was a headache and my nose was tingling, felt really weird like a fizzing sensation. When I woke up the next day I felt like I had a bit of cold. Took a LFT and it was positive, confirmed by PCR. The next day it felt like a cold progressing but with fever then progressed to low energy and aching. Eventually completely lost all sense of smell and taste around day 4 and it's now slowly starting to come back gradually for both. I've only started coughing the last 2 days towards the end but feeling ok. Hope your feeling ok and your symptoms are mild.

First symptoms were shivers, body aches and headache. They lasted less than one day.

Next two days I’ve just mainly had a sore throat. Yes it was an unusual sore throat. Quite intense considering I otherwise felt fine.

Day 6 back to normal now. If I hadn’t tested I’d have thought I’d had a cold.

Scratchy throat and slightly runny nose. A couple of days later my voice went very hoarse and I tested positive that evening.

Felt very cold, multiple layers on and also a muzzy head.

Dd's first symptom was feeling sick. Then she developed a headache and was extremely tired. She's a week into it now and feeling almost back to normal. She's 11.

My son tested positive today. Cold sysmptoms. Negative LFT yesterday, straight to positive today.
