Would you be prepared to do the same next winter, and the one after that and so on?
Last December I heard a lot of "It's just one year"
People not seeing family for "just one Christmas".

Are you prepared to do it again, and going forward maybe every time there's a new variant in winter?

@Hearwego, on the other side, a population that is ill with a higher level of long term illness (long covid) and generally with poorer health isnt going to help the economy either….

The NHS is a failing system.
And with an ageing population and fewer people paying for it , it will only get worse.
But no one in power will do anything to change that..

The NHS has been broken for quite some time and it has taken a pandemic for people to see this. I work in health and could think of many things that could be done to improve systems, processes etc - but they are not popular.
