Fit to fly tests and travel delays

I’m due to fly Saturday I need a PCR up to 96 hours before I depart. I’ve booked it 93 hours before (I want to know if we are going to I can make alternate plans). But now I’m panicking what would happen if the flight was delayed by more than three hours does that test no longer count?

I can’t rebook the next day as all slots now taken 🤦🏼‍♀️

Who are you flying with?

I have seen posts on FB that people are being turned away by Ryanair and Easyjet because their tests haven't been within 24 hours (even though the guidance says that 48 hours is acceptable).

There is also some debate about whether 48 hours is literally 48 hours or 2 days.

Are you sure that 96 hours is right - seems absurdly long?
