Long covid in preschoolers?

Pretty sure my youngest boy is still suffering post covid.
He had it end of Sept. We are having random sleeps from 4pm till 7am. He's always asking to go to bed. Long day time naps have returned. He's just exhausted.

He's also still not eating properly.

Anyone? Any advice?

Sorry, no experience, but the not eating properly could be making him feel more exhausted?

3WildOnes · 11/12/2021 17:55

Have you been to the doctor? I would be asking for blood tests.

Iwasonline · 11/12/2021 18:43

He's eating but complains about the taste of many things.
He's been asleep since 2pm and has just been woken by his brother at 6.30pm. Now back in bed and settling.

You're right about the gp and bloods. Poor thing

I wouldn't be diagnosing him yourself. These are concerning symptoms and could be many things, some of them far more likely than long Covid. He needs to see a GP

Please get him checked by gp

Promise I'll call Monday morning. He's awake now and looking forward to his midnight feast

It is likely to have a longer impact on some DC.
I'd bring him to the GP.
