I live in mainland Spain where I haven’t seen a single person without a mask in a supermarket since March 2020. I hear it’s the same in Germany and Italy. What is it about so many British people that makes them not do it when it’s clearly safer. I returned to the UK for a visit and found it horrifying. I was even looked at with disdain for wearing one! I just don’t get it!

Yes I know. Specifically. You are taking issue with people who have posted about the abuse they've been on the receiving end of. Are you calling them liars? I have just said that I believed them, and based on the vile things I've read on here it isn't as implausible as you are making out.

Eh what are you talking about 🤣 why would I PM you? It's a discussion board, if you want to see other peoples experiences then read back through the thread. Now, I'm not a dick so when someone is upset and says that their loved one has experienced abuse which includes being spat on, I'm not going to call them a liar. But again, what with the nasty spiteful bile that I've read I'm not surprised someone would come along and accuse them of lying.

You responded to my post that was replying to someone else. I was saying that the people causing issues for the mask exempt are not going to be the maskless as they are not the ones judging them..that stands. So what's your issue?

No, really, BlaBla — where are all the reports of people quickly whipping down their facemask to gob on someone and making it clear that it's because their victim was unmasked? It just doesn't sound plausible. People mostly wear masks either because they want to cut transmission (in either direction) and believe masks help, or because they're the compliant type and prefer to follow the rules. Neither of those is consistent with spitting on people. That's why I took the piss by joking about spitting with a mask on. Spitting is incompatible with mask-wearing physically, but also incompatible with the mindset more generally. So… have you witnessed this, or read a credible account of it occurring?

I'm unable to wear a mask because I have trigeminal neuralgia.

I've been spat at by a man who pulled down his mask to do so.

If you don't wear a mask on city centre streets where I live it's an automatic €150 fine. Amazing how everyone wears one.

And awful how those who can't afford a fine but cannot wear a mask have to stay at home.

I've not accused anyone of lying, I've not diminished anyone's experience of abuse, I've not denigrated anyone based on whether they cover their faces. I've just asked you to back up your assertion that nasty mask-wearers are spitting on people for being maskless, because only mask-wearers would be horrible enough to do such a thing. Instead you've come back with all kinds of bollocks about what you imagine I mean.

You also appear to have a problem with non-literal communication. There's very little I'd enjoy less than actually receiving a PM from you.

Oh bless you, you take things very literally don't you. I understood your sneering perfectly.

The point is you picked one point out of my post. A single example that was in brackets. And ignored the point I was making. My point was accurate, and you know it.
What point are you trying to make then, if not that you don't believe this one very specific example of abuse people have received? What is your point?
Sadly @TheVampiresWife has clarified for you that they've experienced this by the way.
