Any others Covid positive with suspected omicron?

Hi - I’ve just had a call from test and trace. Suspected Omicron due to my symptoms. However DH is a few days ahead of me and symptoms are worse than mine. DS is also positive but only yesterday and praying he stays mild too.

Is there anyone else with suspected or confirmed Omicron? They are sending us out special PCR tests to take.

Thought it might be good to compare symptoms and experiences of it. Xx

Following with interest...hope it turns out not too bad for you, OP!

GreenLunchBox · 10/12/2021 09:02

Which symptoms OP?

Mumma331 · 10/12/2021 09:32

Sorry - that would of been helpful for me to add!

The night before my positive test my symptoms were really achey legs, temperature, woke with sweats, literally saturated. Those symptoms lasted 1 night I’m on day 3 of positive and those symptoms have subsided, now slight cough (if that).

DS (aged 12) - no symptoms at all. Happy he’s off from school and glued to TikTok as per usual.

DP - really quite poorly I’m very worried and he’s on day 6 today. Raging temperature (40.6 this morning!) no appetite, aches, dizziness, very lethargic. We have oximeter that’s I’ve been monitoring. He’s oxygen levels normally 98/99 at beginning of illness. Today down to 90-95 and up and down so waiting for call back from the GP.

Hope your DP feels better soon. Seems he has quite a bad fever with it. Glad your symptoms have improved. Take care ❤

I hope your DH feels better soon!

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better.

Do you mind saying what each of your vaccination status is?

SonicBroom · 10/12/2021 16:54

Following - had Covid recently and was wondering how I’d know of Omicron. Different to your symptoms though

SushiGo · 10/12/2021 16:56

Hope your DH starts to feel better soon.

We are in an omicron hotspot but not been told what version of covid DD tested positive with.

It's in the back of my mind. DCs school has sent out a letter mentioning stomach/vomiting symptoms with the Omicron cases and I have had a stomach since yesterday so not feeling great about my chances!

Mumma331 · 10/12/2021 17:27

Thank you 🙏🏽

DS is not vaccinated. I have only had 1 dose (Pfizer). My DP is fully vaccinated.

Hi @Mumma331 how are you all now? I’m just tested positive with suspected Omicron and am worried as you can imagine!

perhapstomorrow · 20/12/2021 23:30

Dd has tested positive but no mention of the variant. Would be surprised if not Omicron as all her friends that she was with before testing positive have now all tested positive. They all did lateral flows before meeting up.

SheRasBra · 20/12/2021 23:37

Had Omicron a few weeks ago and it was the PCR result that stated 'you may have Omicron'. When I queried this with Test and Trace they said, "Oh yeah, if it says that then you have got it." Just bloody say that then!

Mine started with a bad headache, sore throat and feeling generally rough. I had a couple of days in bed feeling really poorly then another week just with brain fog and fatigue. Still feeling a bit tired and breathless if I overdo it. I have had 2 vax plus the booster.

Yuledo · 20/12/2021 23:44

Ds was sick a couple of times last week with covid. Possibly omicron then?
