Has anyone had a Pfizer vaccine after 2 AZ? I was really unwell after the AZ ones and had the Pfizer today and OMG do I feel grim. I’m dizzy, have a headache and have been vomiting, I have a temp and every limb feels so heavy to move. I’m tired but sleep will not come. I’ve called NHS 24 and have been told to call back in the morning if I don’t feel better. Did anyone else have this? I’m sorry if there’s already a thread on this but I could only find ones on people having had the Moderna vaccine as a third dose.

Yep, me. Felt fine after each if the 3 jabs, nothing at all. I even doubt they jabbed me at all. Confused

Had AZ twice and then Pfizer. AZ first dose felt a bit ropey but nothing after Pfizer bar a slightly sore arm!

ShepherdMoons · 10/12/2021 09:12

It sounds like you've had a serious reaction to the booster. I had two AZs and then the pfizer booster but just felt off colour and a little unwell.

Firesidefox · 10/12/2021 09:28

My AZ vaccines were fine but I felt awful for a day after my Pfizer booster.

MarshaBradyo · 10/12/2021 09:30

I just had that combination and feel a bit nauseous and tired but not too bad

AwaAnBileYerHeid · 10/12/2021 09:38

Yes, these are the exact side effects that you're advised of by the vaccinator/the booklet that you're given when getting the vaccine.

Ypsilanti · 10/12/2021 09:39

Hi OP, I had a similar reaction to you (2 AZ and then Pfizer booster). Felt absolutely fine for 24 hours after my booster, very sore arm aside, but then developed a fever and headache and felt absolutely shocking for a further 24 hours. It took me by surprise as I thought I’d got away without much of a reaction (I had strong reactions to my AZs). Good news is I was back to normal after 3 days. Just rest and take paracetamol would be my advice. Feel better soon!

PoinsettaPrincess · 10/12/2021 12:57

I’m feeling much better this afternoon, I never slept much last night so stayed in bed this morning as I was chilled to the bone and felt really fluey. I still have a bit of a headache but I think that’s due to a lack of sleep more than anything else.

Exactly same as you OP. My hands and feet were so cold last night and I was shivering. Felt awful this morning and havr taken day off work which feels pathetic but my brain is not going to be producing great works today. I'm on the sofa watching shit telly.

murasaki · 10/12/2021 14:02

2 AZs which were fine and then the Pfizer booster yesterday, I now feel pretty shitty and am going to have to lie down for a bit.

Andacherryonthetop · 10/12/2021 14:53

My oh had first 2 AZ booster moderna and felt awful after the booster for about 24 hours

BackBackBack · 10/12/2021 18:01

Thought it was just me with freezing hands and feet. Have managed to make it through the working day and am now in the sofa with a blanket.

LatinforTelly · 10/12/2021 18:35

I've had this. Booster yesterday (pfizer) after two AZ (and had covid in 2020). Feel terrible today, really fluey and yes feet and hands like blocks of ice last night...until the night sweats kicked in! Hope it goes soon.

superblondie28 · 10/12/2021 23:06

Has Pfizer booster yesterday. First 2 jabs were AZ.

Only side effects from booster were a little tired yesterday, dull headache last night/this morning and the normal sore arm. Felt shocking after the 1st AZ jab!! All good 😃 ironically on same day, 2 people from work off with covid so now daily lft testing done at the work at the boss's request.

Fruitinator · 10/12/2021 23:14

DP & I both had Pfizer booster on Wednesday after 2 AZ. Both really ill for 24hrs after AZ Jab 1, nothing after Jab 2.

Booster- Both sore arm and tired, DP headache which paracetamol dealt with. DP likened it to feeling like he had a bit of a hangover he could power through. I felt fine.

Lindy2 · 10/12/2021 23:24

I felt rough after my Pfizer booster. I woke up in the night absolutely freezing cold and shivering. When that passed I was achey and a bit too hot.

I stayed in bed taking it easy. It lasted for only about 12 hours and stopped as quickly as it started. After that not even a sore arm.

I reacted to my first AZ too. Not the second (nor the flu jab)

I did have Covid before being vaccinated which I think does potentially mean I'm more prone to a fairly intense reaction.

Talsaml · 10/12/2021 23:52

Had both initial doses AZ. After AZ1- achy, absolutely freezing, body aches, sore arm tiredness bed bound for 2 days. AZ2 just felt off. A bit muggy and tired but went to work and was ok. I’m now hoping my booster doesn’t knock me around. Got a few meetings this week so will have to do mine next weekend. Hope u feel better now OP

trumpisagit · 11/12/2021 07:48

Hopefully the news about the benefits of the booster compared to 2 doses of AZ has cheered you up.
I am wondering when that protection kicks in? 2 weeks post booster?

mattcockhand · 11/12/2021 07:54

same combo as the OP & felt like shit for 48 hiurs after all 3 😥

weddingdilemmma · 11/12/2021 07:56

@Sonex

Loads of people have had this. I felt rough with first AZ, bit under the weather with second AZ. Third Pfizer barely noticed - in fact I flew long haul the day after and had a tiny bit of a sore arm.
I was exact same!!

Think I saw something from the BHF to say the Pfizer trial showed significant protection from day 7 onwards.

Feeling much better this morning. Slight headache and sore arm but otherwise fine. Good luck to all those waiting for boosters!

Wizzbangfizz · 11/12/2021 11:23

Yes and no problems with any of them apart from a dead arm.
