DS had Covid 2 months ago, now sneezing a lot!

DS 12 yrs old tested positive for Covid 2 months ago, LFT confirmed by PCR. Had none of the three main symptoms but was sneezing a lot and felt a bit grotty for a couple of days. Rest of the household tested negative and remained Covid free.
This evening he has been sneezing a lot and feeling a bit poorly. I know this could easily just be a cold, but what are we actually supposed to do? Assuming he wouldn't be eligible for a PCR as again, none of the 3 main symptoms. And only 60 days since positive PCR.
Can anyone advise me on the best course of action? Thanks

What would you have done if your son had this sneezing illness in December 2019? Do that.

Oh to turn back the clock to 2019! What simple times we lived in. Would love to do that but unsure of actual guidelines.

I don't think sneezing is a symptom is it? Sounds like a cold but if you are worried pcr. I wouldn't isolate for sneezing

I haven’t had COVID but I am currently sneezing a lot, big ones too!

friedeggandsauce · 09/12/2021 22:51

Sorry just read properly that he sneezed before. I'd just leave it to be honest!!

oopsydoopsy · 09/12/2021 22:53

I know sneezing is not a symptom, it sounds silly writing it down, but I'm just thinking that's what he had last time. I hate all this second guessing when it's probably just a cold! Thanks for the replies.

Sneezing is a common symptom of delta in the double vacced, along with sore throat.

A pcr could still show positive from previous infections so there’s no way of really knowing. It would be really unusual to be reinfected so quickly.

Maybe just keep out of the way of any vulnerable family members for the next week’s release so just in case.

Thank you that's really helpful, I needed to hear some common sense!
