I was waking up from general anaesthetic having had surgery to remove my baby from me who's heart had stopped beating.

Alone.

The only comfort I had was a wonderful nurse and a t shirt of DH's to cuddle.

Don't really know why I'm starting this thread. I wish I hadn't worked out why that date meant something to me when I heard it.

I read a statistic about the number of nhs doctors taking their own lives at the moment. It is a lot. When I mentioned it to my husband he joked “What a shame it’s not Tory MPs instead.” - I thought it was a pretty awful thing to say at the time, but reading your story it suddenly has some appeal.

I’m so sorry for your loss. And I’m so sorry we’ve not done enough collectively to stop these particular wastes of genetic material from getting into power.
