Four boosters a year at this rate…

…and if MN is anything to go by then apparently only a tiny minority of people are the slightest be worried about the unknown impact on their health of having multiple vaccines per year. It’s official that the expectation in the UK is now to get a booster after three months.

Boris clearly said today that ‘for now’ people will be able to continue to get a Covid pass with just two vaccines, but there was a clear implication that this could change.

I admit I was pretty scared about getting my vaccines and only got them recently.

I actually think the booster policy might deter the vaccine hesitant even further.

Anyone else really concerned about this?

Me , I had a horrendous reaction to just 1 dose and still having problems from it so won't be having any more but alot of people seem happy to keep having jabs .

Yep. I know several people who have bad reactions to the third jab, despite being fine with the first 2. No way am I having a booster every 3 months

I am very concerned as my period disappeared for 3 months after getting vaccinated, I know this can happen with any vaccine but that is why I wouldn't be willing to get any vaccine every 3 months. I was already worried about getting it yearly due to this, but would of. This is too much to ask of women of reproductive age as there has been so many people with similar issues.

I may have it annually but there's no way I would have them quarterly. I'd rather not go anywhere than put myself through that.

You're on the wrong site raising concerns about vaccines OP. Of course it's nonsensical to imagine that we're just supposed to keep pumping vaccines (with no long term data on their safety available) into our bodies. It's Omicron now. Wonder what the next variant will be called and if the latest booster will be enough? Where's the public health campaigns encouraging people to boost their immune systems by eating properly and exercising? So sick of everyone blindly believing the shit that spews forth from Westminster.

Sorry that others have felt ill - I had a month of fatigue after the second vaccine. I think it’s really important to be able to express these concerns and have our wishes respected without being accused of being anti vaccine per se.

@FluffyCushion123 I've been called an anti vaxxer because I've only had 1 for me another was too much risk for me personally and I don't believe in vaccine passport or mandated vaccines not because I'm anti vax I'm just pro choice

Plenty of people are very concerned OP and some of those either have refused the jabs or won’t be getting any more after severe reactions to the ones they have had. MN is not typical of the population in my experience—in real life I know many people who share your views, including a number of doctors and scientists. But mark my words, some furious MNetter will be along in a minute to demand that I “out” my scientist friends or accusing me of being a liar!

I'm struggling through work today after yesterdays booster.... I'm in on overtime covering a vaccine refuser which is isolating her full ten days, on full pay....again

@LittlestLightOnTheXmasTree but how long before the currently double vaccinated who then refuse a booster, are subject to the same policy and treated with the same contempt? I give it another three months…

But it also appears we can do negative tests. I had my first 2 jabs but won't be getting a third. I nearly didn't have my second.

If I have to start just having gatherings at my home I will rather than risk the impact of all these vaccines. I am low risk anyway maybe if I was high risk I would act differently

Can you tell me more? My underlying condition has worsened after first vaccine but because I'm CEV and lost two family members I felt forced to have the second and thereafter booster.

@custardcreme that’s very interesting but if boosters were always part of the plan then why do we refer to being double vaccinated as ‘fully vaccinated’?
This is not the same as boosters for other illnesses as it’s seems we’re being told to get them when immunity wanes rather than to complete the intended course of vaccines.

It’s the moving goal posts (and the accompanying threat to individual freedoms) that is the problem here.

If I wasn't a needle-phobe already, I wouldn't be happy with having to get repeated boosters. Honestly I can't see why our immune system would need boosting that often. Antibody levels contract over time, it's normal. Is the strategy to keep them continually raised? Seems like that's the plan.
