Having my booster when I have a cold?

I have a minor sore throat, it hurts when I swallow. I have been sneezing too. But other than that I feel fine, no cough or temperature or change in smell or taste.

I've done 3 lateral flow tests over the last 24 hours - all negative. I was in the office last week with people who have since tested positive, but I wasn't a close contact so haven't even been informed who it was who tested positive. I was sat very far away from everyone and went for lunch elsewhere so didn't spend much time around colleagues apart from a 15 minute meeting. I wore masks when making a coffee, using the loo, etc. I've ordered a PCR anyway, just to be safe. I'm double jabbed.

I've been overdue for my booster for 3 weeks now.

Should I cancel my appointment?

I had a bad cold when I was due my appointment. I phoned and receptionist said come as long as I didn't have a temperature. The nurse who did the booster said the same. She said we just need to get the booster done as soon as possible.

Do a pcr then if negative get the booster.

It could be covid and the lft's aren't picking it up. Dp has covid right now and it's very much like a cold for him - would probably scrusllt feel worse if it was actually a cold. His throat has been fine but very sneezy and sniffly!

If your pcr is negative and you only feel like you’ve got a mild cold, it’s fine.

Saying that, your symptoms are how my covid started.
