If it isnt either of those things then they say it is post covid symptoms and could last weeks or even months. I just wondered if anyone could recommend things to aid his recovery types of vitamins types of food etc or anything else??? He has the following symptoms
breathlessness
extreme fatigue
inability to concentrate
nausea
poor appetite
dizziness
inability to regular his body temperature keeps getting the shakes and or burning up
He is 54 and was healthy before this
Thanks all for your help. Much appreciated

I had covid badly and was in hospital. It just takes time. I found it helpful to compare my progress with a week ag rather than yesterday.
Certainly at 2 weeks I was still very ill but rest, more rest and more rest again led to a gentle improvement. It took almost 3 months to get fully back to normal.

thanks Rade yes I too notice the more rest he has oe lying in bed and sleeping the better he is
We seem to now be down to 1 or 2 naps during the day but latest he has gone to bed for the night so far is about 7.30 pm

How is he @orangetriangle?
At 3 weeks I was having a sleep about 3 or 4 times a day and had to lie down after a shower to recover.
It really is that slow. By week 4 I was able to gently potter about the house but that wiped me out. Week 5 I was walking up the road, week 6 walking round the block.
At 2 months I was feeling quite well but my legs were still weak and I got breathless.
At 3 months fully ok.

thanks Rade today for first time can see an improvement so this is day 17 Gp ref him to hospital who did ecg chest x ray lung scan and have said currently no clots but lungs in a bad way the upshot is severe chest infection caused by covid on top of all his other covid symptoms has been given blood thinning tablets as a precaution and strong antibiotics and steroids.
Still coughing well oxygen a bit low at times and chest tight and breathing a bit laboured at times. Have said he is at risk from a blood clot on lungs so needs to be careful. Still making an odd gulping noise every now and then
On the positive side taste us starting to come back appetite is improving and he is not sleeping nearly so much not so exhausted and moving around the house a bit more but if he does too much he soon knows about it and it's back to laying on the bed again. akeep well and safe from this horrid virusx
