Dc have both had a cough for about 2 weeks. They were pcr tested at the time and negative. It's just lingering. This is very usual for my two. Coughs linger for ages. I've also had the cough and negative. Half their school have this non covid cough - just the time of year. They've been in school until last Friday with the coughs with no issues.
Anyway, Dp was close contact and has tested post over the weekend. Me and dc are all negative - so far on both pcr and lft, it's still ewrly days.
So technically kids can be in school but they are coughing - the same cough they've had for 2 weeks now. But I feel weird about it. Even if their cough is not covid, ultimately if they were carrying covid there cough could spread it..
I'm just confused. Their cough is not covid - wwyd? Just lateral flow them every day?! Keep them off?
Keeping them off is no issue as Dp is off work obviously and pretty much asymptomatic, I'm not working currently so no childcare issues!
