Tongue / mouth symptom?

Did anyone get any weird ulcers / bumps in their mouth / tongue? I had a bad cold a few weeks ago (none of the three main symptoms though). Ended up with an odd metallic numb taste, mouth ulcers and a coating / lumps / bumps on the top of my tongue - it felt tingly and parts were kind of tender.

Ended up at the dentist who said they’d seen these types of changes at the tail end of a covid infection.

Bit shocked. Maybe I should have tested?

Symptoms were very different to when the kids had delta in the summer, so I wrote it off as a cold. Live quite rurally so unlikely to be much omicron around here yet…

Sounds more like hand foot and mouth?

Mouth and tongue symptoms are on the Covid Zoe App list of questions. We all had sore gums or cheeks

@Daffodilsinthegarden sorry not sure what you need me to do? The link doesn’t click through?

I’m not sure what happened, It wasn’t meant to be a link, I’m sorry. It was meant to say that I had a sore tongue too at the side and a mouth ulcer while I was covid positive.

I have this too following a virus. Negative covid test

It isn't something I'd heard of until a few days ago, but I know someone who has just tested positive with similar. They are asymptomatic except for bumps/blisters on the roof of their mouth, and have been told it is the covid causing it.
