Can anyone clarify for me please...what are the current rules?

UK national, double vaccinated, returning to UK today. Travelling US - London - Scotland

Test on arrival at London? Test on Day 2? Both? Everywhere I read seems to just go round in circles

You will now need one before you leave the US from Tuesday (recent announcement)

On arrival you need one anytime between arrival and day two (so between day zero and day two with day zero being the day you arrive).

You just need to do one in the UK any time from landing up until day 2 of arrival (arrival day counts as day 0).

The rule about pre-departure PCR starts on Tuesday at 4am.

And you have to isolate until you get a negative result so best to do it asap on arrival. The change to a pre-departure test is from 4am Tuesday.
