Do household contacts HAVE to get a PCR?

Hi,

Just querying this one - if someone in a household is covid positive, do vaccinated partners/under 5s HAVE to get a PCR test or is it just advised? Are they allowed to lateral flow daily instead?

The guidance isn’t that clear “they should” etc.

No, it's a recommendation not an obligation. FWIW both DC had the dreaded lurgy and neither DH or I caught it.

What country are you in?

Clarkey86 · 04/12/2021 15:45

Ok thanks. England.

No legal obligation to do either LFT or PCR.
