Are people still getting a booster if got a cold?

DS has Covid. I then developed a cold. (Tests including PCR all negative.)
I've got booster booked for Saturday. I think I'll still probably have a few lingering cold symptoms by then.
Google suggests it's fine to go ahead but just wondered if anyone else has had booster with a cold and if it's affected side effects. Thanks

I had my booster on Tuesday whilst suffering a cold and cough, so far only a sore armpit but nowhere near as bad as the 2nd jab.

Sure you'll be fine, good luck

GoodnightGrandma · 03/12/2021 06:21

If you’ve not bat a temperature you’ll be fine.

Husband had his booster with a cold, it was fine.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/12/2021 06:50

Yes, had mine with a cold. No issues.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/12/2021 06:50

A bit of a tender arm. That's it.

lanbro · 03/12/2021 06:52

I had mine yesterday with a cold, arm is really sore, worse that first two. I've had an awful night sleep but don't know whether my cold or the jab

I had a bit of a cold when I had mine and didn't have any side effects at all

Pattygonia · 03/12/2021 06:58

I did - and did feel really tired that evening but much better the following day.

Your problem may be that you are a close contact with someone who has covid, as this is one of the first questions asked before you even get inside vaccine centre. Despite you having a negative PCR, they may suggest you come back another time.

ColettesEarrings · 03/12/2021 08:09

I was never asked that @Mindymomo ! My son had covid when my booster was booked, I'd tested negative on 7 lfts and a pcr by the appt, as had all remaining members of the household. Nobody asked about contact at all.

Thanks everyone.
That's interesting Re close contact. His isolation actually ends that day so hopefully that ok.
