I'm not in the UK where the tests are free over the counter. I'm in the EU and I need to but them.
So far I was using the pound shop ones. I don't know if they are reliable or not.
I know two people over the past few weeks where the antigen tests were useless
- one person with symptoms tested negative on antigen tests 3 times but because she had symptoms she went for a pcr test and she was tested positive.
- another person who tested positive on a home test who was shocked because he was careful with his whereabouts and he has no symptoms. He went for pcr and it was negative.
I need to buy some antigen tests and use them more over the next few more weeks because my movements have increased outside of lockdown and mixing also increased.
