Only three children in class asked to do a pcr

Covid case in my dd class and only three kids in the whole class have been told to do a pcr test as they are close contact. Surely the whole class should be tested ?! She is one of the kids by the way. Seems strange to me.

That’s odd, I got a message today from my dd’s school to say everyone in the class should get a test due to a case in their class.
Could it be that a lot of others in your child’s class just haven’t seen the message?

Where I am no children in school are classed as close contacts. 7 children in dc class has had positive tests over the past few weeks. We got a standard letter for each case just saying we don't have to do anything unless they show symptoms. My dc did end up being one of the 7.

Our school don’t even tell you when there’s a case so you can test. Only tell you every few weeks the number of cases in the school. Can’t be many year six left they have all gone down 1 by one in last 4 weeks. We only know when the parents say on the WhatsApp group.

Our school treats the whole class as close contacts. I have 3 children and its a nightmare. Everytime a new cases happens which is every 5 minutes the school wants a new PCR test and insists children stay at home until they have a negative result. My kids have had loads of adhoc days off here. It makes it impossible to work. Not all parents do the PCR. School can't enforce it. It's creating all sorts of tensions.
