Has anyone caught covid the same day as their vaccine?

DD tested positive for covid yesterday (faint line on a lateral so must have just caught it, she was negative on Sunday). DH is CEV (immunocompromised) and was due to have his third vaccine tomorrow. He phoned 119 who said he needs to get it asap and should go to a walk in (he's negative on a lateral flow today & was also negative on PCR yesterday). Our house is small and the children are young, so I think it's likely he'll catch covid in the next few days. Has anyone caught it at the same time as getting the vaccine? I have no idea if it means he'll be less ill, or if it could be worse!

Dh had his second vaccination two days before he tested positive on pcr. He had really mild symptoms.

I wouldn't trust 119s opinion on this personally as he is CEV - can he chat to his HCP?

If he has COVID now, getting vaccinated won't offer any protection, and may just make his symptoms worse, especially as he is CEV.
