Hey guys sorry for the new thread..

On day 6 of covid, pretty much felt the same last few days, started with cold symptoms (runny nose and scratchy throat) then cough, dizziness loss of taste and smell... i have a hoarse voice but clear nose so i know theres inflammation somewhere...

Im really worried its going to get worse and curious to know others experience of covid... if you are going to get bad, do you tend to know by now or?... ive been double vaxxed..

Ive posted recently as im anxious.. i was on a previous thread 'covid moan' but seems to have gone quiet so needed to make my own (i know everyone sick of covid threads sorry)

I’m on day 5. Started with running nose, sneezing and a headache. Then started coughing, a really dry cough. Cough has turned into a really barking cough Ruth a sharp pain and other symptoms still around. Weirdest one is waking up the last 2 days absolutely drowned in sweat. Soaked through! Most annoying symptom is the constant sneezing and running nose (which apparently isn’t a symptom but it is for me)

A good tip OP if you can is to not stay bed bound or stay still. I know it’s hard when you feel bad but getting your lungs moving and moving the virus out is key - just walk around now and the. Get the blood pumping. Nothing too strenuous but just move.

My initial symptoms were quite strange and not the generic Covid ones - tinnitus, bad ear ache and swollen glands. Then started to hurt to touch the following day. And now it’s aching all off, hurting to touch, bad head, sore throat and feeling exhausted but can’t sleep and an annoying tickly cough. Also off my food (which never happens). Still have my smell and taste. I’m on day 3 so I’m aware things change. If I hadn’t tested positive, I would have just assumed I was really poorly. I’m double vaccinated too, with the last one being in July. X

I'm.on day 9.. .had all flu symptoms then bad palpitations and breathing difficulties on day 4 and 6. Went to A&E. They checked heart and dud chest xray, all clear. I'm feeling improvement today though still using oximeter to get levels. On the virtual.covid ward, which is v reassuring. Dr calls daily to check on me. I say, if you are worried about your breathing, go to A&E. Get checked our

I am on day 6 and have so far had very mild symptoms. A sore throat overnight for two nights and a runny nose and very slight cough for a few days. Have generally felt pretty good.

However today I have felt very tired and not really with it this afternoon. I know a lot of people mentioned fatigue as symptoms - not sure if I would say it is as bad as fatigue but it is definite tiredness.

Has anyone else had it that tiredness has come on when you thought you were 'over it'? And if so has the tiredness lasted a long time or not?

earsup · 10/12/2021 19:10

There is also a cold or virus going around which lingers for weeks and leaves awful fatigue....i have that now for about 3 weeks....going for blood tests soon just to check all is ok....maybe those with fatigue have caught the other virus also...?

Day 7 here. Started with terrible overnight headache that then vanished, then irritated eyes and cough and runny nose for a day.
Feel ok now but no smell!

Riomama · 10/12/2021 20:41

I’m coming to the end of day 8- started with a thumping headache and cold shivers very suddenly last Wednesday evening. Then Thursday a sore throat- went to get a PCR test which came back negative. In the meantime on Friday did a lateral flow which showed positive very faintly. Went for another PCR on Saturday which then came back positive. Have had fatigue, sinus headache, loss of smell, sore inside of my nose- it stings when I breathe in. One or two coughs and that’s it. Anxiety has been a problem for me- constantly worrying that I’ll wake up feeling worse.
Now DH has tested positive: do I need to stay away from him? Not sure now that I have had covid the same week- was thinking that it didn’t really matter, but now second guessing myself and wondering if I should be isolating from him still. I tested negative on lateral flows from day 6

Mine was like a very heavy cold with a few aches and pains. I would have put it down to a cold other than we had returned from holiday and got the contact text and the directive to take a PCR.
Hubby on holiday with me and grown up kids who live with us all tested negative on their PCRs and not a single symptom. All of us double jabbed.
I work from home and usually shop and cook. I enjoyed the excuse not to shop as I had to isolate and sending them for provisions.
