Dc1 has previously had covid. Current has a cough. Spends around 3 months each winter having a cough. Is at school (asked school for advice, they didn't require pcr) negative LFT.

Work have told me that as a close contact to him (classing his cough as a symptom) that I need to take pcr and isolate. I have no symptoms. I have taken the test but they also want an isolation cert.

I don't have any symptoms, so am confused as to why I need to isolate. I dont have to by government guidelines. I can wfh so not "risking" anyone at work. But can my employer demand that I isolate?

I would have thought that they can demand you don’t come in, but not that you isolate!

I'm more than happy to wfh. According to government requirements, I don't have to isolate.
