Anyone else stuck indoors with COVID+ but absolutely fine children?

Well at least you aren’t all sick that would be worse!

summermode · 29/11/2021 21:10

Much better than staying indoor with poorly children (or the worst scenario: plus poorly parents)

Hope you and LO stay energetic during the whole quarantine X

MyFirstMyLastMyEverythingBagel · 29/11/2021 21:13

Yes. Its bloody horrendous. Yes it could be worse etc etc.

But we're allowed to say its still really hard work. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Sending solidarity

Disagree @summermode - when my kids are sick, they generally lay on the sofa & watch TV. I guess the nights can be tough but often they sleep in in the morning!

When they are well, they climb the walls & are extremely noisy! It’s really bloody tough!

Sending love OP. Are you all positive or can someone take the kids out? Send them to school? 😩

Bobholll · 29/11/2021 21:18

Oh wait, just re-read your title! Sending even more love.. are you positive? Can you escape for a bit?! 🙈

Ostryga · 29/11/2021 21:19

Agree when dd is poorly she just wants to be cuddled on the sofa. Isolating with well children is much worse!

Hope the next few days hurry up and you all stay well

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 29/11/2021 21:22

Yes, just me in our house positive but don't feel too crappy. I'm hiding in my room while the kids are lonely and miss me.
Yes it could be much worse but it's not a competition to those reminding op much worse it could be!

Peachyqueen · 29/11/2021 21:22

I'm well and negative, just the 2 boys that are positive. Eldest has ADHD and autism and the youngest copies everything he does, so it's.....busy?! Confused

I hate making this all about me but my gosh I wish I could go to work! My work has a policy that I have to stay away for 10 days when in same household as a positive, but DH is self-employed and if he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid.

I never thought I'd long for a walk in the cold but here we are!

Yes - DS tested positive last week and was a bit poorly for a couple of days but right as rain now, DH and I both tested positive over the weekend and we're still waiting for DD's PCR result. She's having to isolate too whatever the result as we can't take her to school but she's asymptomatic.

DH and I have felt quite shit the last couple of days but what can you do?! Luckily DS' quarantine ends this Friday so hopefully he can go back to school then but DD has to stay off at least until my freedom day, which isn't till next Tuesday.

Only on day 3 and got another week and a whole other weekend to get through....!

Confused

We had a 7 day one last summer. We split the childcare half half with work, but the better half of the day was the half at work by a long way. She just watched an awful lot of TV.
