My son took two bus trips to a vaccine centre. The first time he got there as it closed. The second time he learned that 16 year olds were only getting one jab.

he wasn't gruntled.

my mum says 16 year olds can get a second jab now - is that right? can anyone give me chapter and verse?

And am I right that my 18 year old can get a booster now?

Yes they are allowing second jabs for everyone over twelve, three months after the first.

Go to BBC news - it is top story.

I thought age 16 and 17 were already able to get 2 and advice today is to offer a 2nd dose to 12-15 year olds. Over 18s will be offered a booster

DS2 16 has gone for his second dose tonight. Had his first dose three months ago.
My 18 year old will be able to have a booster three months after his second dose too now. The website hasn't been updated yet to book in though.

Sixteen year olds have been able to book a second dose for the last week or so.

Wakemeuuuup · 29/11/2021 18:49

Yes but it must be at least 12 weeks since their 1st jab
