Hi,
Had anyone found that the vaccine has impacted your childs menstrual cycle?
I'm getting anxious about giving my 12 year old girl the vaccine when she hasn't started her periods yet. Maybe I'm talking nonsense!
Any thoughts?

This isn't the one I was reading but it's mentioned here.

I think I'm more concerned regarding the Covid vaccine as there were so many reports of delayed periods initially. I'm not sure if there is a harmful impact and that is why I feel hesitant.

Exactly that. I think with the lack of long term data I'm holding back. I may wait a little longer and review it.

Thank you. The data does appear to be reassuring at least.

I don’t think there’s much long term data on any other vaccine and it’s affect on the menstrual cycle.

So why weren’t you worried about any of the other vaccines she’s had?

I don't think you are being unreasonable at all. I went through menopause and the vaccines triggered heavy periods. My teen daughter is 15 and I was going to research into whether vaccines affected children's hormones when she got covid before she had a chance to have the vaccine. And covid stopped her regular period so I suspect anything triggering a huge immune response is going to effect things.

Genuine question - why do you think that the heavy periods were 'triggered' by the vaccine?

Heavy periods are a common symptom during the menopause, how can you so definitely attribute their cause?!?
