It seems there are changes imminent as I can now book my booster (under five months) - wasn’t able to yesterday. Worth a try!

Just checked mine and it says can book now but nearest location coming up is over 6 miles away and I don't drive so no good for me.

You’re lucky, I’m over 6 months since last dose, in my 50s, and can’t get a bloody slot for love nor money!! Oh and nearest drop ins are only at weekends and 15 miles away.

I can book mine (41), had last vaccine on 30th June and can book from 29th December onwards. Waiting to see if I can book it any sooner than that after the announcement coming shortly. Cheshire.

Just booked mine now, this morning when I checked the only availability was at a place 20 miles away, I've just logged on 20 mins ago and was able to book for Wednesday at a place 5 miles away. It's worth checking for locations throughout the day if your able too.

We've booked ours, were 40 and the 6 months was 28 December but earliest appointments were 10 jan. Luckily we can get there as the nearest location is also about 6 miles away

There are no slots anywhere near me either and my reading off the conference is everyone can now have it if three months since Jab2 so only going to get worse surely

If you’ve booked it can you bring it forward?

Do you have to cancel and rebook? I had to do that with second vaccine.

Booster will now available for all adults over 18, 'No sooner than 3 months from 2nd vaccine'.
Immunosuppressed should get 4th dose 3 months after 3rd dose, not 6 months.

I managed to get through and book on Friday. My 2nd vax was 28th June and the earliest booster appt it would give me was Jan 6th.

I'd rather have it pre xmas festivities but even if they decide to allow earlier bookings I suspect demand in Dec is going to be high.

Yeah it’s a risk. Mine is 21st Dec. I’d prefer a bit of protection a few weeks before this as we go in to Christmas but don’t want to lose that spot.

I’m hoping I’ve had an antibody boost by having an asymptomatic child in the house! I felt a bit off for a few days. Not sure it works like that though.

I went into the manage my booking section and they allow you to look at alt dates before you cancel. I tried that but it still didn't give me anything sooner than the Jan date I already have booked.

You can book now if you are 40+ and had your second dose at least 5 months ago. If you are younger or had it more recently you need to wait for the nhs roll out - they are rolling it out by age group

Just tried to rebook and I can’t get anything earlier than the date Ive got booked which is exactly 6 months to the date of my second one.

I suppose if it’s only just been announced it might take some time for the site to change. Hoping to get in before the Xmas parties begin.

What about the drop in centres? I think from what I've read that as long as it's been 3 months from your second jab you can just rock up

NHS still says:
You can get a booster dose from a walk-in site if it's been 6 months (182 days) since your 2nd dose and you're either:

aged 40 years old or over
aged 16 years old or over with a health condition that puts you at high risk from COVID-19

You can find local walk in centres on the government website. I know it's tricky if you don't drive, but 6 miles really isn't far. Is there anyone that can give you a lift?

My partner is 42. Not 5 months until December and the system is not letting him book this morning. I assume the nee changes haven’t been updated yet so will wait. Luckily in our area we have good amount of walk in clinics so if they offer them once the changes have been made he will go to that.
I’m already boosted through work.
