When do you think we'll be able to stop wearing masks in work (nhs)

Just curious to see what people think. I'm wondering if they'll ever go away, I can't imagine not wearing one now!

But would have no issue wearing one if I had a cold.

I think the blanket use of masks in the NHS needs to be reassessed in relation to the Therapy's, my DD attends SALT which is a bit ridiculous with masks worn, and I imagine it is a big issue for OTs and physios, depending on their setting.

I can not wait until they can go. It is really difficult for me. Communication is tough in them.
I've got sores behind my ears from wearing them at the moment. It is agony going to work right now.
I'm so over it. I'm on community with well people, so it hardly seems necessary.

If you are using ffp2 masks get hold of a headband with buttons on or a little fabric stripe with 2 buttons/plastic thingy for the back of your head to change the position of the straps. If you are using ffp3 could you get issued with a hood temporarily until your skin heals?

I think this would be a really good thing. Especially if accompanied by a no questions asked / no judgement approach. And if people can't breathe well enough with a mask when they have a cold, then they need to go home & we have to end the culture of presenteeism in healthcare.
